We are a modern day blended family! We met through our kids and our involvment with the Cub Scout program. Although we already are one happy family, we want to celebrate our new life in the eyes of God and with our family and friends.
The party will start early! For those of you coming into town Thursday night or Friday night please feel free to come by our place for a visit and some food! Our door is open to all and we look forward to seeing all of you. We are sure there will be lots of visiting, catching up, and probably some serious Rummikub games.
Feel free to call us, Kris 505-814-4470, or Glenn, 505-363-2751.
The wedding and reception will be here in Rio Rancho, NM. Located about 20 miles north of Albuquerque, NM, which is the closest airport. The wedding will be at 4pm on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at the Rio Rancho United Methodist Church, and the reception will follow at our home, about 1 mile away at 1729 Sierra Norte Loop NE, Rio Rancho, NM.
Just remember this is a casual fun filled celebration of our love and our new family. Feel free to dress casually if so desired, and scouts in uniform are encouraged! We will be having a mexican food buffet, keg beer, margaritas and wine. If you would like anything else, feel free to bring it!
We are about a 12 hour drive from CA, but the Albuquerque area is a great place to visit and you may want to consider making a vacation out of it! The closest airport is the Albuquerque Sunport, and currently Southwest has fares as low as $ 120 each way, depending on when you travel. Rio Rancho is about a 20 minute drive north of Albuquerque.
If you choose to stay in Albuquerque, you will have many hotels to choose from. However if you would like to stay here in Rio Rancho, the two nicest hotels are the Hilton Garden Inn, and the Extended Stay Rio Rancho. They are located very close to each other, however Expedia.com shows rates at Extended Stay for $55 per night. Make sure you choose the Extended Stay at 2221 Rio Rancho Blvd. (hwy 528). The other Extended Stay on American Rd is close as well, but not as easy to get to.
There are many things to do here in ABQ. You can take the tram to the top of Sandia Mtn, visit Old Town for shopping and dining, and there are museums, The Indian Cultural Center, and hiking and waterfalls can be found in our close by mountains!
Contact us if you need any further information. We hope you can celebrate with us!
Hello friends and family,
We are so honored you will share our special day with us. We're lucky to have a nice home full of everything we need, so we've set up this honeymoon registry to help us fulfill a dream of a romantic cruise.
Thanks for visiting and we can't wait to see you!
